Pomodoro Method Your timer cube can be used for any task where you would benefit from a timer, but may be particularly valuable when studying with the Pomodoro method. In the Pomodoro method you select an interval of time that you will work uninterrupted, often 20-30 min. At the end of that time you take a short break, generally 5-10 minutes. After your break you resume your work for another uninterrupted 20-30 minutes. Once you've completed three or four work periods there is often a longer break (comparable in time to your work period, often 20-30 minutes). For this method to be the most effective, the periods of work should be truly uninterrupted, any distractions or other tasks should wait until your break period. Using a physical timer, especially one that's not on your phone, can help remove the temptation to check your phone and reinforce the mindset that this time is dedicated to a specific task.
