Teaching During Periods of Disruption

In response to COVID-19, this resource provides guidance for teaching undergraduate and graduate courses during periods of disruption. When teaching virtually, faculty may need to select alternative instructional methods, and may also need to adjust the course content itself. On these pages, we offer advice for selecting and using alternative instructional methods. Many are familiar and simple to use.

Open Sessions on Remote Teaching

We also invite you to join this week’s Teaching Continuity open sessions. Drop-in for parts of the conversation or stay for the whole hour. Please register so we can send you a Zoom link to join the meeting.

  • Compassionate teaching. Thursday 4/2 at 12:00 pm. In this one hour Zoom session, we’ll facilitate an informal discussion about teaching compassionately – about how to listen and respond to our students and advisees during this deeply uncertain time. Bring questions, ideas, and concerns and we’ll strategize and begin to build resources together. RSVP to receive a Zoom link.
