Bio/Description

Andrew Kensett is a doctoral student studying photography in the 20th-century US. Andrew holds a BFA from the Rhode Island School of Design and an MA from the Graduate Program in the History of Art at Williams College and the Clark Art Institute. Before graduate school, he served as curatorial assistant in photography at Phoenix Art Museum and as assistant curator at the University of Arizona Center for Creative Photography. This is Andrew’s second semester teaching with PTI. In fall of 2023, he taught Art Appreciation at East Jersey State Prison; this semester, he is teaching the same course at Northern State Prison.
