Writing a syllabus and establishing course policies

A syllabus articulates the central questions that motivate a course or describes the intellectual stakes of studying course material. We advise faculty on developing (or refining) a syllabus that describes their pedagogical goals and on developing appropriate course policies, for which the Office of the Dean of the College also provides extensive resources.
