What are these groups? Are you eager to develop a community of writers and feel motivated to write? Are you looking for the incentive to write regularly, and to practice communicating your ideas to supportive readers outside your discipline? McGraw's Virtual Writing Accountability and Support Groups are small, robust, interdisciplinary writing groups that meet online. They are intended for post-Generals grad students and postdoctoral scholars, and are facilitated by trained McGraw Fellows. Each group offers supportive environments for you to clarify and develop your writing projects, increase motivation, boost accountability, and foster social connections to combat the loneliness and isolation that often accompany academic writing. This is a wonderful opportunity to form a writing community, meet writing goals, and potentially develop skills in giving and receiving feedback. Groups run year-round, with new writers welcome to join at the beginning of the Fall term, Spring term, and Summer.
