Campus Conversations: Discussion Groups for International Graduate Students and Postdocs In small groups, participants meet to discuss topics of interest and practice leading discussions and expressing opinions. An ELP instructor will facilitate, and a Princeton undergraduate will join the discussion. Groups meet for 6 weeks for an hour at a time to be determined. To join, email [email protected]. English Communication Coaching The English Language Program offers oral English communication coaching for international graduate students and postdocs. The focus of these confidential 30-45 minute coaching sessions is customized to meet each participant’s oral English communication needs and goals. Common requests for assistance include: identifying oral proficiency needs and creating a strategic skill develop plan, practicing presentations and improving the delivery of ideas, and overcoming specific pronunciation or grammatical structure challenges. To initiate a consultation, please email [email protected]. We look forward to working with you! English Language Program Workshops The ELP offers a variety of workshops, including our Academic Communications series, for international graduate students and postdocs. Past workshop topics included Delivering Effective Presentations, Pronunciation Workshops, Small Talk and Writing Effective Emails. Our workshops are offered during semester breaks. Teaching Support for International AIs The ELP offers services for graduate students who are currently teaching. If you feel that you might benefit from additional English language support, we offer individual meetings and/or classroom visits to all types of classes (lecture, lab, or precept). ELP instructors provide feedback on the effectiveness of your spoken English in the classroom setting. You can contact us at any point during the semester. The individual meetings and class visits are not evaluative and the details about our meetings are discussed only with you. For more information, or to sign up for our programs, email us at [email protected] or call the English Language Program at 609-258-6929.
