In 2016, McGraw launched our Inclusive Teaching at Princeton initiative. The goals of the initiative are: To promote campus conversations about the important role that teaching plays in creating an inclusive University community. To increase awareness of best practices for inclusive teaching, both improving climate and allowing faculty and graduate student participants to take these important ideas with them into their future teaching projects. To offer faculty and graduate students access to a variety of expert perspectives on diversity and inclusion in the classroom. To create Princeton-specific resources for inclusive teaching. To assist all teachers and learners to engage more meaningfully with the diversity in their classrooms. In addition to hosting a wide range of programs including keynote addresses by high profile speakers, we also offer Inclusive Pedagogy Grants to support faculty in making their courses more equitable and inclusive. Upcoming Event What Inclusive Instructors Do: A Workshop with Tracie AddyLed by Tracie Addy, founding director of the Institute for Teaching, Innovation, and Inclusive Pedagogy at Rutgers University, this interactive session will explore the mindsets of inclusive instructors as well as the principles and practices they use to facilitate equitable learning environments. Session content will include course design principles that center on equity and inclusion, instructional practices that have the potential to cultivate welcoming course climates, as well as sample inclusivity challenges and promising approaches to address them. Together we will investigate how we can create learning environments where students thrive.Friday, April 25, 10:30 AM - 12:00 PM113 Convocation Room, Friend CenterRSVP We welcome your suggestions for future events.
