In 2016, McGraw launched our Inclusive Teaching at Princeton initiative. The goals of the initiative are: To promote campus conversations about the important role that teaching plays in creating an inclusive University community. To increase awareness of best practices for inclusive teaching, both improving climate and allowing faculty and graduate student participants to take these important ideas with them into their future teaching projects. To offer faculty and graduate students access to a variety of expert perspectives on diversity and inclusion in the classroom. To create Princeton-specific resources for inclusive teaching. To assist all teachers and learners to engage more meaningfully with the diversity in their classrooms. In addition to hosting a wide range of programs including keynote addresses by high profile speakers, we also offer Inclusive Pedagogy Grants to support faculty in making their courses more equitable and inclusive. Upcoming Events Inclusive Teaching with Kelly Hogan & Viji Sathy Teaching strategies that emphasize structured active learning can create more equitable classrooms and improve learning for all students. In this introduction to inclusive teaching techniques, award-winning professors Kelly Hogan and Viji Sathy will provide a framework for inclusive design, present their own research results, and ask participants to reflect on inequities and diversity in their classrooms through interactive activities.
