In this hands-on workshop, students will reflect on and capture their own needs as a student through a transfer questionnaire. With these needs in mind, they will then learn about different types of four-year schools (research university, liberal arts college, public v. private, etc) and other factors they should consider when making a plan to transfer. By the end of the workshop, students will have generated a tentative list of schools they might be interested in and a list of questions to ask receiving institutions.

The visit will include information sessions about admissions and transfer, as well as a campus tour. 

In this hands-on workshop, students will learn about the various sections of the Common App and will set up a Common App account. Other important topics covered include how to avoid common pitfalls in completing the app, qualifications for fee waivers, how to order transcripts, how to identify the appropriate school officials needed to complete the Common App, and important transfer deadlines.
