New Colleague at the McGraw Center for Teaching and Learning

On Monday, July 31, Dr. Katherine Stanton joined the McGraw Center for Teaching and Learning as Senior Associate Director for Teaching Initiatives and Programs after a decade of roles of increasing responsibility at Harvard University. Dr. Stanton, after receiving her Ph.D. in Literatures in English from Rutgers University and teaching in the Rutgers Writing Program, served as Assistant Director of the McGraw Center from 2003 – 2007, where she helped design and implement the current Teaching Transcript program for graduate students.

Graduate Students Prepare for Teaching in Partnership with MCCC

Sarah Schwarz, McGraw’s Associate Director, was instrumental in conceptualizing and designing an exciting and innovative new Community College Teaching Partnership program that promises major benefits for both Mercer County Community College (MCCC) and Princeton University (PU) this spring. 

Under the agreement, four MCCC faculty members are mentoring four PU doctoral students with a comprehensive orientation to the community college environment this spring. Then, the PU students will teach in their disciplines as MCCC adjunct instructors in the fall.
